Place bottom half of cake on serving plate. Spread the custard over the bottom half of the cake, leaving 1 inch around the edge of the cake.

To make the ganache, microwave the cream for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and add the chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes, then whisk to combine.
